Ocean acidification, overfishing, sea level rise are all threats that we hear about on a regular basis and should be a concern for all of us. No place in the world are these threats more a reality than the area known as the "Coral Triangle", an area of the western Pacific that has been described as the world center for biodiversity and one of the world's top priorities for marine conservation.
Join the Harte Research Institute and the World Affairs Council Thursday evening June 11th from 7 to 9 PM in the conference room to hear from nine conservation leaders from the region as they discuss the challenges they face in saving the future of their unique and special home.
This event is free and open to the public. It will be held at the Harte Research Institute on the Texas A&M campus in Corpus Christi. If you have never visited Harte, this is a great time to do so. Dr. Larry McKinney, the director, will be the moderator.
